Visualisation may include views of other existing wind farms. These images have been generated using 3D visualisation software on the basis of a design layout which is still subject to change according to stakeholder feedback and environmental information. The scoping layout on which this visualisation is based represents the scheme at its greatest extent, both in terms of the number of turbines and their height. Whilst much effort has been made to accurately represent topography and screening features, such as trees and buildings, there are likely to be differences on the ground at the point the wind farm is expected to be commissioned in 2027. Please note this visualisation is illustrative only and to better enable stakeholder understanding and discussion.

The Map

To minimize the help tab, please click on the photosphere tab towards the top left of the screen. In order to view the visualisations and navigate the portal, please start by clicking on any of the cameras on the adjacent map. They are situated next to their relevant viewpoints to allow access to areas of interest.

Should you prefer to view the map in satellite, this can be done by clicking the ‘Satellite’ tab at the top right hand corner of the map.

Once you have clicked on a viewpoint, if you want to return to the full map at any point, please click on the project map icon situated down the left-hand side of the map – it is a location pin icon on top of a grid.

If you are viewing a video and would like to return to the overview map, the project map icon is situated at the top right-hand corner of the screen.

Visualisations

Once you click on a visualisation, you will be presented with four tabs across the top middle of the screen; ‘Current Landscape’, ‘Initial Layout’, ‘Interim Proposal’ and ‘Final Proposal’.

If you click on the Current Landscape tab, it will show you the area as it currently stands, without any of the proposed windfarm layouts.

If you click on the Initial Lyaout, it will show you the proposed layout on the map, with the turbines 250m high.

If you click on the Interim Proposal tab, it will show you the proposed layout on the map, with the turbines 200m high.

If you click on the Final Proposal tab, it will show you the proposed final layout on the map, with the turbines 200m high.
